Hi! I’m Aissatou, a 21-year-old PR professional and blogger. If you have gluten and dairy allergies and are interested in transitioning to an allergy-friendly diet, you’ve come to the right spot!
I created this blog to inspire people in the health and wellness space as a woman of colour, by sharing healthy and easy gluten-free, Vegetarian and dairy-free recipes (spoiler alert: I have a sweet tooth!). I also get crafty and create DIY projects out of everyday things.

When I was six years old, I started getting constant abdominal pain and vomiting. These episodes would last between a day to a week and resulted in my being hospitalized hundreds of times. This continued until I was 12, stopped, and restarted when I was 16. Today, I’m 21 and I only truly stopped getting so frequently ill about 2 years ago. Doctors did every test imaginable (CAT scans, MRIs, Barium test, endoscopies, x-rays, ultrasounds, psychological test etc.) but could not find the source of my issue. Until one day, they said it was possible I had a gluten allergy. So I cut gluten. But it wasn’t enough, as I kept getting sick.
Through the process of elimination, I removed things in my diet that made me feel icky after I ate them such as dairy. My entire life changed after that. I no longer felt nauseous in the morning, looked forward to eating a meal and finally had a healthy relationship with food. After two years of going gluten-free and dairy-free, I removed meat from my diet, becoming vegetarian and discovering a new type of cuisine. The end goal for me is to transition to a Vegan lifestyle.
